OUR PURPOSE
Orlando Davis was a man of great wisdom, standing tall at 6’5” in both presence and purpose. An educated and accomplished Black man, he understood that a home is more than just a place to sleep—it is a sanctuary, a foundation for stability, and a reflection of dignity. He dedicated his life to ensuring that affordable, high-quality housing was not a privilege, but a right—starting with our own, the Black community, and expanding to people across the world.
But life has a way of testing the strongest among us. My father suffered a heart attack, a moment that changed everything for our family. At the time, my mother, my sisters, and I had made the difficult decision to leave, seeking a better life in New York. Though the city was expensive, we found opportunities and affordability in ways we hadn’t expected. We learned firsthand what it meant to search for a place that felt like home—a place that wasn’t just four walls, but a space that nurtured and supported us.
That experience shaped what Adonis Orlando is today. We don’t just provide temporary housing; we create spaces that embrace you. Every detail, from the thoughtfully designed interiors to the warmth you feel when you walk through the door, is intentional. Whether you’re staying for a few nights or an extended stay, we believe you deserve a place that offers comfort, peace, and a sense of belonging.
Too often, housing—especially temporary housing—feels cold, transactional, and impersonal. But we believe that even your temporary should feel like home. That is the heart of our mission: to provide spaces that nurture, uplift, and welcome you as family.

Tharius Nakia is an exceptionally talented, ambitious, and dedicated young woman who brings a unique blend of intelligence, sophistication, and charm to everything she does. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Tharius is not only committed to academic excellence (boasting a 3.8 GPA and Dean’s List honors), but she is also passionate about providing unparalleled customer service and creating memorable experiences.
Her diverse professional background is a testament to her versatility and adaptability. Tharius has worked across multiple industries, from hospitality to retail and office administration, allowing her to develop a well-rounded skill set that includes customer service, problem-solving, organizational excellence, and time management. Whether managing fast-paced customer interactions at a local restaurant, assisting legal professionals in a law firm, or working on government projects that impact her community, Tharius continuously demonstrates her ability to thrive in any environment.
Working as a Clerical Associate with the Shelby County Government, Tharius is honing her administrative and leadership skills, gaining hands-on experience in a high-pressure setting while making significant contributions to the office’s operations. This role has allowed her to sharpen her attention to detail, her ability to work under tight deadlines, and her capacity to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
In addition to her strong work ethic, Tharius is deeply committed to providing outstanding service to her clients and guests. Understanding that great service goes beyond fulfilling basic needs—it’s about creating an atmosphere where guests feel truly cared for.
